Whiteboard Sessions

Discover practical ideas and insights that will help you retool methods and programs. Learning lab topics will include:

  • Board governance
  • Campers and guests
  • Communications and marketing
  • Culinary arts
  • Imagineering
  • Leadership
  • Legal and compliance issues
  • Ministry expressions
  • New frontiers
  • Operations and asset advancement
  • Organizational innovations
  • People development
  • Personal formation
  • Resource development
  • Site and facility management

Learn, discuss issues, and prepare to retool your ministry in four types of learning labs (see descriptions of labs). Presenters include Bob Andringa, Byron Hill, Tammy Lopez, Lee Maize, Barry McLeish, Walt Mueller, Rob Ribbe, Bart Tarman, and others.

  • Whiteboard Sessions: These sessions will tackle various topics, providing specific solutions related to issues commonly faced in the Christian camping world. Whiteboard sessions emphasize audience participation, including conversation, role playing, process orientation, and hands-on interaction.
  • Seminars: These more traditional learning sessions will be largely lecture-based, with the presenters offering valuable information about various issues facing camps and conferences across the nation.
  • Roundtable Discussions: These conversations allow attendees to share knowledge and ideas on new-frontier topics—those that are mostly untested, unproved, and groundbreaking, yet imperative to the future viability and sustainability of camps and conferences.
  • Summitaneous Sessions: These spontaneous summits will form as the event progresses. Each session will allow a small group to explore a concept. This will result in a newly developed network of like-minded leaders who will be able to provide direction and next-step solutions for that specific issue.

If you're in your twenties, you'll want to join your peers and camping veterans for encouraging interaction and engaging discussions at Emerging Leaders Roundtables. These special sessions will begin before the official start of the event (9 a.m.–4 p.m. on Monday, December 8; lunch will be provided); two more shorter sessions will be held during the event.

And don't miss the Marketplace (exhibit hall), which will offer a multitude of resources from business professionals and from CCCA to help you enhance your site, facilities, programs, and entire ministry.
